J.C. JACKSON

Web Studio by J.C. Jackson

Custom websites built
for small businesses
that actually want one.

Storefronts, booking pages, classroom portals, lookbook sites. Hand-built by me, delivered in two to six weeks, owned by you forever.

3 client slots open · through July 15, 2026

Why now: Every dollar from these three builds funds Kiera and I on our mission trip to Ghana, plus my restorative trip to Israel. Limited slots. First come, first paid.

What every build includes

The studio standard.

Custom design

No templates. Your colors, your voice, your photos. Built page by page so it feels like your business, not a kit.

Mobile first

Every page tested at 375px before it ships. Most of your customers find you on a phone. We build for that first.

You own it

Full source files, hosting transferred to your account, login credentials handed off. No monthly lock-in, no rented domains.

Square ready

Payment links, product pages, booking forms wired to your existing Square account so you skip Eventbrite and platform fees.

Editable by you

Business and Custom tier builds ship with an admin panel so you can update prices, photos, and class dates without calling me back.

2 weeks of polish

Two weeks of revisions after launch are included. We fix typos, swap photos, and tune copy until you're proud to share the link. Rest days are scheduled on my calendar and do not move · the polish window pauses on those days and picks right back up.

Recent client work

Three small businesses, three launches.

Live sites I built and shipped this year. Each one is the owner's brand, not mine. Click through to see them in the wild, then peek at the admin panel they run.

Sites I designed and built for myself.

Same hands, different brands. Every link below is something I designed, coded, and ship as part of my own ecosystem.

Why this is the Custom example

MCC isn't a brochure site. Students log in through a portal I built, not a third-party tool. The admin has five sections · Students Manager organized by cohort, Login History so I see who logged in and when, Content Manager for gated curriculum, Scopes of Practice per level, and Assessments. Cohorts, levels, certificates, and gated materials all live inside the site. That's the line between Business and Custom · the moment a site needs real logins, gated content, and per-student tracking, it's Custom.

We Rest As Reparations

Day-retreat series for community rest · ticketed gatherings

Restorative day retreats with herb check-in, ticketing, journal, and playlist. Built to feel like an invitation, not a landing page.

Talk about Custom

Every tier starts with a $500 non-refundable deposit that holds your slot and counts toward the total. Final balance due at launch.

How it goes

From deposit to launch.

  1. 01

    Discovery call

15 minutes, free, Zoom only. You tell me what your business does, who you serve, and what's broken about your current site or lack of one.

  2. 02

    Deposit holds your slot

$500 non-refundable deposit locks your slot in the schedule. It counts toward your tier total · you don't pay it twice.

  3. 03

    Brand intake

You send me your photos, your words, your Square account details. I send back a one-page direction so we agree before I build.

  4. 04

    Build and review

I build the site page by page on a private preview link. You review at midpoint and again at handoff.

  5. 05

    Launch and polish

Final balance, domain transfer, full handoff. Two weeks of fixes and small swaps included while you settle in.

3 slots open · through July 15

Reserve your build.

A $500 non-refundable deposit holds your slot in the studio queue and counts toward your tier total. After three deposits are in, the window closes.

About the studio

Built by one person, on purpose.

I'm J.C. Jackson. By day I'm a district instructional technology specialist. As an entrepreneur I run Elijah Broke The Gate LLC and Jesse's House Holistic Assisted Living LLC. Medicine Crafts Collective is the herbal school division of EBTG. I build curriculum through Kuumba Architects with Christina Richardson, and code small business websites in the gaps. Every site you see here was built by me, not a team and not a template.

I take three private clients per cycle so the work stays careful. When the three slots are full, the window closes until the next cycle opens.

Honest answers

FAQ.

Is the $500 deposit refundable?

No. The deposit holds your slot, blocks other clients, and pays for the discovery and direction work. It counts toward your tier total at launch.

What if my business isn't ready yet?

Then wait. The studio isn't for businesses still deciding what they sell. Come back when you have a product or service and a name you're committed to.

Can you migrate me off Squarespace, Wix, or Shopify?

Yes. Migrations are part of the Business and Custom tiers. We move your content, your products, and your existing domain.

Do I have to use Square?

No, but it's what I integrate fastest. If you use another processor, mention it on the discovery call.

What happens after launch?

You own the site. I include two weeks of polish at no extra cost. After that, I offer optional retainer hours if you want me to keep updating it.

Why only three slots?

Because I build by hand and I have a day job, a curriculum business, and a family. Three is the number I can deliver without cutting corners.

Do all tiers include an admin panel?

No. Business and Custom tiers ship with editable admin panels. Starter is designed to look great and convert visitors · if you want to edit content yourself, that's Business or Custom.

What's the difference between Business and Custom if both have admin panels?

Business is "I want to run my site myself." 8 pages, single-editor admin panel, Square storefront or booking, 3 to 5 weeks build, 2 weeks polish. Examples on this page: The Care Cottage, Caryn B. Malone, Kemajo Ka Foro.

Custom is "I need student or member logins, gated materials, or per-user tracking." Unlimited pages, multi-section admin, member portal with login history, multilingual or per-cohort content, custom integrations, analytics, 4 to 6 weeks build, 4 weeks polish. Example: Medicine Crafts Collective. The line is the login · the moment your site needs real student or member accounts and gated content, it's Custom.

Do you work on weekends or rest days?

No. Rest days are on my calendar and they do not move for any project. If a deadline crosses a rest day, the timeline picks up the next working day. I tell you my schedule on the discovery call so there are no surprises.
